Don't forget that the curved links are bent, thus making them shorter pin-to-pin. With this link being shorter, the bucket will rotate more and push the stops further.

A properly designed cylinder can handle being bottomed out and should not need protection for end of travel.

So vince, based on what you said wouldn't the repair fall into warranty category? Since the Q A stops are weak/not strong enough to actually stop the rams from pushing them beyond their limits it would seem to me to be more of a design flaw than an operator error.

I don't know if warranty will cover it or not.
Even stronger bucket stops can be damaged if an operator is constatly slaming against them.
I have no idea how you use your machine.
But it is my opinion that the stops in your pictures are not heavy enough.

Cyril, thanks for the link on the Jinma, I've read it through in detail.

No sweat. I thought it might help with some understanding of what you are dealing with. Rob does such a great job of documenting and explaining his work. I've learned a lot from reading his threads.
