FEL PSI checking/adjusting on BX2350

Mine just doesn't have the pressure to work as I think it should. i.e. when rolling the bucket back when digging up small shrub roots it doesn't. Need educated on how to check the FEL pressure and adjust if needed.

Easiest way to check the pressure is get a gauge with a matching quick disconnect for your FEL connections. Place the FEL on the ground. Disconnect the lines for the FEL and put the gauge on one of the QD's. Operate that function and will show you your operating pressure.

To adjust the relief you need to remove the left rear tire and add shims to the relief valve. I know pictures have been posted showing the relief location but I did not save one of them.

On the BX24/BX2350 the pressure relief valve is at the back of the tractor. looking at the pto, just to the left and up. there are 2 large hex plugs. the bottom one is 22mm. After testing your PSI from FEL port you can remove that hex nut. Put a shim behind the spring, screw it back in and retest the pressure. its an o-ring sealed plug and doesn't need to be super tight . when you check psi make sure you do it at WOT and with the fluid at normal operation temp. keep doing this and adding shims until its at 1850 psi which is the BX recommended PSI.

I did the same process myself and it was so easy to do. FYI - I noticed majority of BX's are shipped with PSI under the recommended max PSI like mine was.
