Filters & 2615\'s

I have a 2615 and I am coming upon my first filter change. The dealer that I purchased the unit from is an hour and a half away. When I called for a price of the Oil and Hyd filters I was given a price of $27 and $87. Does anyone have a cross to a filter that can be purchased locally at a NAPA or Autozone?

Re: Filters & 2615\'s

I'd be interested in this also as my 50 hour service is nearing. Also, what about the air and fuel filters?

Thanks,

BR

Re: Filters & 2615\'s

I believe you are being ripped....The Mahindra oil filters for my 6000 are about $8. I used to have the dealer call it in and have them shipped from Mahindra to my front door. I paid the dealer the next time I saw him/or wrote him a check and mailed it. Maybe one of the other Mahindra dealers here can do the same for you.....I would hope so, cause I may need to do the same thing....especially for the hydraulic return line filter.Come on dealers!! Speak up!! BobG in VA

Re: Filters & 2615\'s

I just paid $19.46 for 7 quarts of oil and $10.08 for the oil filter for my 50 hour service on my 4110. By the sounds of things, my dealer here in VT could UPS the parts to you and still be less then what you were quoted locally!

Re: Filters & 2615\'s

The FRAM engine oil filter equivalent is #PH5342

I do not know of a Hydraulic filter equivalent. It should coast about $65 or more from the dealer.

May be cheaper from www.billstractor.com (Link to MAHINDRA PAGE: Bills Tractor[/url] ). I have never ordered from there, so I cannot vouch for the service. Their price is $67.00 but shipping may wipe out any savings.

At least you will not have to change either again for 200 hours! /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Good Luck.

Ed,

You do know that you can edit that original post to fix the Fram part #, right? Just click the edit link in the upper right corner of that post.

Re: Filters & 2615\'s

We did see a significant price reduction last year on some of the 15 series filters. The prices went from "confiscatory" to "way too high". I believe another price reduction is happening now to get them done to just "fairly expensive". Some of the 00 and 10 filters are quite cheap, but that doesn't help much if you own a 15 series. All of us dealers have been beating Mahindra up over this, and they in turn must be doing the same to Mitsubishi. I am glad to see some progress.
