JohnThomas,

So what is the next trade? (inquiring minds want to know :D )
Looking at a BX2660 MMM FEL. I mow a mobile home park with my F2880E and last week I had to take my B3200 FEL out to the park for a few days which is about 2 miles on the other side of Barlows from my house:). That's why I pass the sea of Orange dotted with Red every day or so. My BX2350 does not have a FEL. While I left the B3200 FEL out there the need for the FEL at home showed how often I use the FEL. Even my wife came up with things that needed to be done soooooo I think, if the money is right, I need a FEL on the BX that I use for mowing. On the BX I can take it off easy and just keep MMM on it and take fel off and on. May leave my B3200 out at the park except when I need more FEL work done here at home. Also leaving the B3200 at the park turns it into a business expense instead of for pleasure. See how easy it is to justify a trade after doing it with over 110 cars in 45 years.:D May also consider a BX2360. Won't buy fel for my BX2350 with it's issues. I know some of you think the BX2350 doesn't have issues and those of us that think it does don't know what we are doing or talking about and we're just uncoordinated so I don't want to hear it. I believe comparing it to the other 7 Kubotas I've owned that it does.

ROBERTM: WHERE IS IT? LET'S SEE PICTURES!
Put me down for the work party, where is it?:)

Well, I'll try to get some photographs, but frankly (can I call you Frank?) I was busy this weekend. I didn't get the rig until late Saturday, and Sunday I was busy with several non-BX related things. Believe me, that was hard.

Finally, Sunday afternoon, I tore apart the BX to wire in a switch for my sprayer. That is something I had been doing on my B7510 since I got it, but never did. AMEN! DONE! I installed a 6-pin waterproof trailer connection on the ROPS off the right rear hazard light bracket I only used two pins (ground and power) and heavy duty 16ga electrical cord for durability. This is the way. Waterproof and a finished look.

Okay. First impressions

Why I never got the BX in the first place (or during each of the last several years when I got the itch) I'll never know. I'm sure the new BX's are more refined than the early ones, but this thing is fantastic. I had buyer's remorse all the way home from the dealer, but after I mowed, there will be NO turning back.

Well, at first I wasn't really impressed with the turning radius of my new BX, but because the tires weren't even coming close to tearing up my lawn, I was happy. With my B7510, you could watch them rip up circles on turns, so the BX's minimized turning radius didn't bother me. After all, my FIRST goal to prevent tearing up the lawn was achieved. Then, I went into my ditch and needed 4wd. It was then I realized I had been mowing in 4wd all along. The 4wd lever on the BX is opposite my old B7510, and I used it a few times on the BX by habit without looking and was reaching down and switching in and out of 4wd. Actually I was using 2wd when I thought I was in 4wd, so I guess I didn't really need 4wd after all.

I decided to then see what 2wd would do around the tight turns and mulch beds. WOW! Turning to the left, this BX turns so tight, I though I had all-wheel steer. Again, not one bit of tearing up the sod. So, those of you who think your BX's tear up the lawn need to try a B. The B is absolutely no comparison to a BX.

The suspended deck is awesome. I have never seen such a magnificent, level, even, cut from a 1400# tractor before. No more bouncing and pie plates.

A few observations:

The 25.5hp engine screams. I can稚 believe how loud it is over my old B7510. Granted, it's new and not broken in. I think a lot has to do with the radiator fan sitting immediately in front of the driver.

The weldments inside the hood put dimples and dents all over the hood where spot welding occurred. Cosmetic, yes, but it looks a little sloppy in the sun where the paint reflects and accentuates each imperfection in the hood.

The 3pt lifts much higher than my B7510 for what it's worth. I see the stabilizer mod coming soon.

Incredibly more leg room over the B7510. At 6'-5" I use every inch. The reclining seat is very nice with the beer holder. I meant root beer holder.

The view without the loader subframe is fantastic. One of the reasons I looked at the BX was so my wife and son could have an easier time operating the tractor. You can see exactly where you are going, mowing, etc... with the BX. Total unobscured vision.

Headlights? More like spotlights. They are great! I had to mow again last night just because.

Okay, I need to get back to work. I値l post some pictures when I can. Thanks for helping me make my decision. I really went back and forth last week even up to the time I loaded it on the trailer. After only a few hours in the seat, I really think I made the right choice. Thanks again!

Thats awesome that you are happy with your decision! I would like to see some pics of your wiring job with the spray. Wow, i cant beilieve there is that much difference in mowing between the two machines. That makes me really want to purchase a mower and turf tires tomorrow when i go to the dealer. what tires did you end up getting? Another happy bx owner!

I am sure I'll find some limitations somewhere down the line, but I am sure this rig is much more of what I need - especially being an 85% mowing unit. That said, I have some loader work planned for this weekend, and I am already researching tillers and snowblowers. I am done scraping my asphalt with the rear blade and tearing up the yard. I'm going to try like crazy to get a blower before the end of summer just to avoid the rush and possible lack of availability. My dealer sells Buel Farm King, and I just can't swallow $2200.

Yes, there is that much difference in the tractors. My wife commented on how great our yard looks today. I just grin. I got the turfs after all. If I need, I'll get chains, but my very first B7500 had the real turfs (not bar turfs like my B7510), and they worked well. I believe the BX2660 has much better balance over the B7510, and I think the majority of the weight is on the rear axle where as the B has so much more weight with the loader, MMM, and the FEL subframe alone, I think that's the difference.

I'll snag some wiring photos while I'm at it and post as soon as I can. Oh, and thanks for the push in the right direction!

I just came across this thread after you bought your tractor, but I went through the same decision process a few months ago. I grew up on a farm and still own quite a bit of land though I no longer farm and still have a couple of "full sized" tractors to mow around the farms and take care of the heavier chores. I had a BX2200 to mow my yard and paths through the woods for my wife to walk on, but felt the "need" for a little bigger tractor, so I began researching and looking. I gave consideration to the B2920, B7800 and even briefly thought about an L Series. I studied and researched until I was bleary eyed. I really wanted a bigger tractor, but I kept coming back to the BX2660 as being the best all around for my needs. Heck, I even considered buying one of each, but I really don't need another piece of machinery to keep up with. Anyway I bought the BX2660 with FEL, 60" MMM, rear wheel weights, industrial tires and Land Pride tiller and could not be happier. It is an excellent piece of machinery and a real joy to use. My wife really likes it too and now uses it as much as I do. These are great machines.
