I started on the frame it in Febuary and had it done in a few weeks (I'm slow), my plasma cutting took a month of waiting on a individual that was in no hurry to do a 15 minute job.
I don't know the cost...I don't want to know, I had fun building it.
I did take the time to cap most of the tube ends for a cleaner look and my paint job is not the greatest (I am not a Painter)
I know some of y'all may be thinking why blue and not Kub orange....well I like blue and it is custom/home built /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
The frame is like a KingKutter and is suppose to be a 5 1/2'
model and this winter I plan on buying the extra parts to make it a 5 1/2' model.
I used a MM175 for all the welding. I know I need something bigger, I have a MM251 on my wish list.
So far I am pleased with it, it does what it is suppose to do and my
L2800 pulls it with no problem even in 2wd.
My list of building material is something like this.
3/16X2"X3" tubing for the basic frame.
1/2"X3" flats for the cross over on the tubes.
1/2"X3" flats for the captured pins.
1/8"X1"x2" for the stiffiner for the top link.
3/8"X6" angle for the gangs.
3/8"X6 flats for the gangs.
The rest of the gang parts came from Agri-supply except for the 1/2" "U" bolts and 1/2" bearing bolts.
Paint is Rustoleum International Blue.
