Thanks guys for you assistance in finding the source of no heat in my TN75D. Before winter I had checked and filled the radiator so I never thought of that. I checked all the cables, etc that were suggested and all seemed well. On a whim, I removed the radiator cap. Nothing to be seen!!
I refilled the radiator with a full gallon
of 50/50 mix and low and behold I had heat. I guess it's been so cold that the engine never overheated even with so little fluid in it. I snooped aroudn to see if I could locate the source of fluid loss but could find nothing other than a few drips under the radiator (not to jump ahead too far, but that turned out to just be a little spilled when filling the radiator).
That day I did not find the leak. The oil was fine and the tractor ran fine with cab heat finally.
I did notice a steady stream of small drips that were where I had driven, but stopped every time I got out to look for the source.
Too cold to look more. Next time I plowed, I refilled radiator, only 1/2 gallon overflowed this time. Again heat fine.
This time I found the leak when I saw fluid driping off left side door step. Earlier I had only seen a few drops and wrote it off as just melted snow. I've never mentioned it but thiefs tried to break into cab and smashed lower window on cab to get in. I think the shards of glass somehow cut heater hose in cab column.
Now all I need to do is figure out how to get to hose to repair it. Suggestions please.
I also still haven't replaced glass even though I have purchased a new one from Messicks. Getting the old one unglued is no picnic.
BTW, I feel rather stupid for not noticing the real problem earlier.
