Very, very nice! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif It does look like a toy pickup. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Just looking at your dump bed. I wonder if Kawasaki and Kubota get them from the same source. They sure do look similar.

Nice "looking" unit. Awesome machine but I agree with your wife! I see you got a cab. Did you have trouble getting it. I was told by my dealer they could get a cab in April (about the time it warms up) but still can't get the HD front shocks/springs which are required with the cab. Do the cab doors lift off for summer? I forgot to ask dealer. Also, if anyone finds a source for the overhead console (plastic piece only, without the radio/cd for ~$600) I sure would appreciate any info.

Congrats...great looking RTV! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

To answer a few questions, the bed of the RTV is fabricated at the assembly plant in GA so it is a totally different design than the Mule bed (but about the same size). The HD shocks/struts should be available very soon, if not now. The doors on the cab are easily removed for summer time driving.

The cabs and springs are available now, took about three weeks for them to ship. Yes the doors lift off for summer and the windshield cracks open at the bottom for ventilation. This is a far nicer cab than I expected and has an insulated head liner. I am really pleased with the RTV and I am planning now on how to customize it with a tool box and tool holders.

No A/C; running an A/C compressor off just a 22hp diesel engine would not be feasible/possible from what I’ve heard.

Is the cab for your RTV900 from a Kubota dealer? Also, is it the hard or soft cab? The reason I ask is that your doors are all black plus the windows look like they can slide open. The cab doors that Kubota show on their web site, both the steel and soft, are orange and look like the window is one solid piece that don't open. Was this a production change or was your cab after market?

Thanks

Yes, you get the (Curtis) cab from a dealer. The windows on the steel doors will slide open for ventilation. The doors are black…they started off as orange but now they are black for some reason. I’ll see if I can get an answer on why they decided to go black (probably cost savings & black looks just as good IMO). I haven't even seen the soft doors in person, but I'm pretty sure they do not have sliding windows.

FYI: The cab is an aftermarket product made for Kubota by Curtis Cab…no cabs is installed during production at the RTV manufacturing facility.

Thanks for the info. I live only about 15 mins. from the Curtis Company but I don't believe they sell Kubota accessories direct to the public. You can purchase Gator cabs from them direct on the Internet.

I think the pictures of the cabs on their web site are actually artist renderings. The glass looks more expansive on the web site doors but I don't think they could be made that way in reality. I do like the ventilation feature on yours and I agree that black looks just fine.

BTW, the bidding is fast and furious on ebay for a RTV900 Rec. I figure it has a MSRP of $11,400. Biiding is up to $8,100 with eight days to go:
