Wow it finally got here! RaT, your right how smooth can a tractor get. I was terrified that I bought too big of a tractor for my place and I was wrong It's just right. I went from looking at the bx22 then b7800 with a quick jump to the L3130 then saw the L3830 was close to the same size just more horse power and was sold, but still unsure deep down that I went way too big. Then I read a post were some one had said they were unsatisfied with their L3830 because of size and it casted doubts all over again. but let me tell you, after driving it and removing quite a bit of dirt from a land slide I could'nt be more satisfied with the L 3830. went through my wet barn due to lack of good ditching the print was not big at all. even on the outside were it was wet as well. Thought it was going to rain but to tell you the truth I dont think I would have stopped. Can't wait until the morning. Thanks to tbn and everybody that contributes the great information with a family atmosphere that is priceless. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Shane, remember to keep the engine below maximum RPM for the first 50 hours at least. I find 2000 to 2300 RPM a great range to be in. Also cut my sight rod on the bucket down to size. It explains this in the manual. On my L48 I never cut it and it was not long before a branch grabbed it and bent it up. I cut it so about 6" showed with the bucket flat on the ground. Have a blast with the new tractor, Rat...

Thanks Rat, Did I say Tractor is great! Small problem though One of my hydraulic hoses to fel is leaking around the fitting. What do I do? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Take a wrench to it and snug it up. There may be fluid there around the valve simply because when you remove and replace the loader, you will loose a small amount of fluid each time you connect/disconnect. They installed the loader after the arms were attached and undoubtedly had a small amount escape onto the valve body. Remember, just snug the fittings, don't go really tight. Rat...

if it is the fitting and NOT THE hose itself, just take a wrench and snug it up a bit. do not overtighten it.

Im not sure what you mean by snuging it up. The hose is not leaking it is around the coupling fitting that you pull back to put on or off. it is extremly hard to put back on. I took one of the others off to see if it was also hard to put back on, but it went on easy. Not sure if I will even be able to run it tomorrow, checked the fluid it was almost to the bottom line. Very frustrating. Will it leak with the tractor off or do I need to plug it? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Eric,
The female end quick coupler usually has an O-ring on the inside.
Check to see if the O-ring is damaged of slipped out of the slot which would make it harder to put on and off.
If you need the tractor and have a TSC near by the 1/2" quick coupler set is only around $13, I always have spares around in case one fails or I decide to build something.
Good luck.

Don't be worried about losing much fluid with the engine off - it could drip a little at the quick-coupler but not enough to affect anything. And your low level could be the way it was delivered - not uncommon for fluids to need topping up on a new rig.

The quick-coupler may have some debris in it - or a damaged o-ring or something else easy. Not likely to be anything serious. Try taking it apart (engine off, bucket down, valve in the float position so there's no pressure anywhere) look in there, wipe it out with a clean rag, plug it back on and see what you have. If it still leaks get the dealer to bring you a new one and install it.

Congratulations on your new rig!
