I will try to get some pictures soon. Have to clean it up though, I put it to good use yesterday. Would waxing it this soon be crazy? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif ---Shane

Waxed mine soon after I got it. They do seem to clean up easier with a bit of wax on them.

RaT:

I wash off my 5030 every time I get it dirty and wax it about every 2 weeks and grease it at the same time. One thing about having the cab is that I have to remove the FEL when I pressure wash the tractor 'cause the grease on the loader gets on the cab glass and about the only thing that removes it is brake cleaner. When I pressure wash it, I wash it with a hot wax/detergent mixture that meters through my pressure washer (hot diesel fired).

I have a buddy who has a John Deere skid loader and he waxes it too.

The price of tractors today dictates, as far as I'm concerned, taking care of them so they last a long time. Besides, I can't afford another payment. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

i know there are those that will scoff at us that wax our tractors, but who gives a gosh ? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif i like to clean it up and it is a nice way to spend a summer evening, making that baby shine. it is easier to keep clean if u keep after it.

Daryl -- Treat your windows with RainX. It'll make removing grease and pine tar much easier. Pete

One note on that...one you begin to use RainX...you need to reapply it on a regular basis as it does not wear off evenly. This is one of those "use it or don't use it" situations. The middle is not a happy place!
