conrats you two....you won't regret getting a Kubota. They are great reliable machines. The more you use them the more you will be asking how you got along BK (Before Kubota).

My neighbors now know I have a Kubota... I'm happy to help out. My one neighbor, the proverbial do anything guy - he can operate any piece of equipment out there - borrowed my 7800 to work on spreading some crush on his driveway. I couldn't be there since I had one of my kids school functions. He came back and said he was impressed. It didn't even hiccup he said. To me this is one of the highest approvals I could receive. I know I am very pleased so far.

LOL, Frank

Sounds like the guy who borrowed it is ok, but a warning to throw out none the less:
My freind at work has an odd ball Kubots (4800 or something... older). Anyway, he lent it to a neighbor who broke and oil line and ran it dry. The guy didn't notice the gauges or (ligh?). Anyway.... ODK (one dead kubota).
Surprisingly, homeowners covered it, parts and labor!
He did his own work and pocketed the labor $$. Happy ending in the end! Is anybody else out there surprised homeowners would cover that?

I DON'T loan my tractors to anyone if they aren't familiar with the operation as well as do's and dont's of them. Of course, All my friends are farmers, just like myself and we all use each other's tractors and implements. Our unwritten rule is: If you borrow it and break it, YOU fix it or have it fixed and you stand the repair bill. The attachement is a tractor that a certain farmer friend of mine is going to buy from another certain farmer friend of mine.

After looking all around the country and shopping on the internet the best price and value was at my local Kuboda dealer Pauley in Escondido. I can't wait to pick up my Kubota,
and play around the yard. I have a lot of weeds waiting for my new brush hog. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif David

I have to tell this sort of tounge-in-cheek. The guy that was using the tractor was a LITTLE under the weather so-to-speak. he also had his girlfriend in the cab with him. He had a boom sprayer on the back and was driving down a dirt road and I guess he was distracted by his girlfriend (get my drift). Anyway, he got off the edge of the road and went down into a ditch. He then tried to power up the otherside and proceeded to climb a tree. The tractor came over and then flopped on it's side, ejecting him and the girl. The sprayer is also totalled and about 1000 gallons of 28% went in the ditch. It not only took the front axle, it snapped the rear right hand axle and the motor went wide open and threw a rod. Bad day. The girl and the operator walked away unharmed. Credit that to liquid courage.
