Funny you should ask, we've got a flooring guy coming out this morning to put down the self-leveler. It's taken me a while to admit it o myself but, I'm not physically capable of doing a lot of what I was before my wreck so we've finally decided to start hiring contractors, which is a big disappointment. That means we can't really live in it while it's being worked on so we bought a 5th wheel to live in while it's being finished and it took a little bit to get everything moved and cleared out. Add that we had 24 piglets, 3 goat kids and 6 kittens this Spring and there's been a lot going on. Then there's the difficulty of finding contractors willing to come out here for what are really small jobs and then not getting hit too badly with the small job surcharge by those that are.

So, the short answer is not yet but, we're making progress again, starting today.

I didn't realize your injury was so severe. Are you still able to work?

For me, I've found that this year has been one of my busiest as far as calls and people wanting work done to their houses. I'm booked up to October right now and the phone is still ringing. At first I joked that it was the Trump checks that everyone was getting, but there are a lot of people that never got a check, including me, so that's not it.

That's a big question. The short answer is not in the way I used to. The biggest issue is that I have a brain injury from it that is almost like recovering from a stroke. It's changed my personality, my ability to stay focused on things, it's more difficult for me to understand things than, etc. The guy that hit me was doing 60-65 and I was doing about 15, he never touched his brakes so it was a heck of a hit. It spun me almost 360 degrees and I blacked out briefly.

We sold our business in Houston and have changed what we do, we're doing fine financially, it's just different.

I'm real sorry to hear how bad your injuries are. I'm glad to hear that you are doing fine financially, just sad to learn of the brain injury. I just thought it was a back injury and I had hoped you had recovered from that.

Very sorry to hear about the severity of your injuries. Prayers for your healing and recovery!
