Finally!

TYM is waiting at the starting gate for our first cut of hay. Looking forward to the cab this year. 6000 going in shop. Needs new clutch. Only has about 550 hours on it. The hay loading and unloading was hard on the clutch last year. Still a little suprised it went out that soon. I have read where others have had early clutch issues. Have to decide whether to have it refaced or buy a new clutch. Had any experience with that?

Get it refaced. It's less money and you will have a better product when you are done. Or at least it is that way with our heavy friction guy.

What do you expect to pay for your clutch job? Dealer just did mine for $1500. I had bought a clutch and pressure plate that he said didn't fit. The clutch disc is the same as the new one and the one that came out but the pressure plate fingers "ride" a little different. Maybe Mahindra has beefed up the clutch a bit.

Hi Brian,
Just came across your thread.
Looks like your smaller tractor is a real good workhorse. I see you really put it through the paces with all the implements. Glad to hear it can handle them all. I'm amazed at the middle buster pulling that trench all the way down, even though it is softer soil. You know at my place you'd be sure to hook into a huge rock or boulder trying that.:D
How's everything else these days?

Hi Rob, stuff is ok here, would be nice if we were a little busier. Hey, one of these days when you are down at Rancho, we need to meet up at my place. About a 2 hour drive for you. Mark is getting his block walls on his garage put up as we speak, uh type. 3 foot stem walls, then we will frame up from there.

Dealer has quoted about $2500.00 which includes new clutch, presure plate, bearings, etc.
