It might not be perfectly legal, but Dad and I both bolt our tags to the back side of the left-hand ramp. It's up out of the way there and well protected from damage. It's high enough to be at eye level at night, and car headlights illuminate it well. We've never had a problem...

Solved that too. Got a $2 bracket from agrisupply that bolts to the light and flexes if it drags or hits something. Works perfectly.
