The internet seems to say so.
I do allot of older furniture with square nuts. So, I actually use this.

That's wonderful! Some of those nuts on older furniture can be such bears when they have acquired a bit, or more of rust.

I may use the bottom one as a pattern for a balky 9" angle grinder that keeps destroying wrenches.

We have a box of those old tools in my father's shop. I suspect they will be there when the place is sold. They really aren't a high demand item, and I can only bring so much stuff home.

Here are two “S” wrenches that were my grandfather’s. From what I’ve found seems like they are early 1900s

My Dad had this monkey wrench, it came home with me when he passed. This one was made by a company called Coes in Worcester, MA. They were used by railroad workers which used square nuts.

I have some old tools that were my fathers too. Can't read the name on the monkey wrenches anymore. I got them in the early 70's and they didn't look much newer then either.

These were my paternal grandfather's. He was a cabinetmaker by trade.

Stanley #45 combination plane (got all the bits too), ruler/angle finder with slide caliper, compass, scribe tool.

An iron iron (which was kept on the wood cook stove and used until I was in my teens) and a kerosene iron.

I sprayed some Ballistol on mine and was able to make out part of the name of the company and "Worcester" so I was able to do some research on it

I had a ditch shovel that was made like the mfgr split a thin 8" pipe lengthwise, welded an arch in the middle with a place for a handle on the top, and a standard long handle there. This arch was made to swivel and set to any angle so the user could either pull or push the " shovel along to make a round-bottom ditch.
I had used it at my FIL's place while getting it ready to sell and left it there.
Someone else liked it so took it.
I've never been able to find another or any reference to it on the internet.
It was great for cleaning out small ditches.
Anyone ever heard of something like that "shovel"?
