Finding V Bolts

I need to find some V Bolts for my 3.5" toolbar. I have no idea where to find these things. They cant be that custom of a bolt. Anybody got any ideas? The toolbar is for my allis 74 planters.

In recent years I've seen more V-blocks and V-straps than V-bolts on toolbars. That way normal bolts can be used.

Like the bottom part on these two clamps. (First photo I found)

Sorry, I just saw that you have an Allis-Chalmers...

For clamps, I would get some thick wall rectangular tube and cut some out, or have them made. Cut in half, drill, notch.



Or have some V-bolts made, or bend some myself from rod after threading the ends, or maybe use threaded rod.

This is the kind of thing any agricultural area machine shop/welding shop should stock or make as needed.

Or even maybe there is a professional or hobby blacksmith nearby?

The clamps pictured above can also be commonly referred to as T bar clamps (yes, t for tool). They can still be bought from most ag dealerships (although not always a stocked item - these are not as common as they where in the 60's) , as can the bolts you are looking for. They will commonly be referred to as just a U bolt w/ a V bend. Good Luck

Man, that is a neat idea! I'm going to keep that one on my mind because it may be helpful in the future projects I work on.
