Great metal working capabilities with the flail :~} is yours the TM1900FSC?

I think that is correct. It is the one with three belts rather than two and with about 50 vs 90 or so flails. The flails on mine are the "heavier duty" style but not technically the "hammers" that you see on some industrial strength flail mowers. The cut I get in pasture is about as good as the cut I used to get with a Rhino finish mower. I'm sure you'd need a finer set of flails to cut a golf course green but they do a pretty fair job of lawn cutting for what they are.

On the Finish mowers, it all depends on what year it is.
The sicmas have been used since at least 2001.
I know this because they are the only ones I've ever had in stock and we started business in 2001.
I do believe that Caroni made some of the ones used before 2001.
I agree on your assessment of Italian equipment.
We have had very little trouble with the units.
As with any finish mower that uses spacers and lynch pins to adjust the height.....
Take out the pins and replace them with 1/4" bolts and double nut or use a nylock on them.
We sell quite a few wheels and forks and spacers........

I have a Woods RD-6000 which is a rear discharge finishing mower. I had this mower prior to the purchase of my Kioti, CK-35-HST and use it weekly if not more often, cutting about 4 acres. In my opinion Woods make the best mowers on the market although I have heard excellent reports on the Rhino as well. My two cents worth, Ron.

I have this mower as well. i purchased it in the spring and can not express i much i love it. On and off is so simple, no sliding a mower deck in and out and no sliding under the machine to hook anything up. I also LOVE the rear discharge... no windrows of grass anywhere. I does a beautiful mowing job as well.

I notice the Caroni flails are sold with the option of number of flails. They show using more for finer finish type cut, according to their website.

That is correct. Caroni makes about 25 models of basically the same mower in three or four widths and various numbers and types of flails. However, I believe that the US importer, Agrisupply, just brings in about 3 or 4 variations on the basic theme. I don't think you can get the high quality finish version in the 75 inch size in the US and similarly you cannot get the tougher TM version in the smaller sizes if I remember correctly.

Again, I find the "tough" version I have has a cut that I cannot distinguish from my former Rhino finish mower but I am talking about pasture cutting not a fine lawn.
