I just finished adding an additional cylinder to lift the mid mount mower or any other mid mount accessory like my 72” mid mount grader blade. I just could not tolerate not having independent control over my MMM. I added a Parker cylinder style BC3L, 2” bore with 1” rod and 7/8”X14 thread and having a 2 ½” stroke, controlled by a Parker D1VL1CN directional valve mounted on the ROPS support strut under the left fender. I connected my hydraulics supply line into the outlet side of the pump and the return line was connected into the PTO return to sump line I ran tubing ever where except at the cylinder where I used two short hoses because of the small vertical movement of the cylinder.
If anyone really wants to do this mod and needs help then just let me know and I will try to clear up any questions. It is not for the faint of heart and was a little expensive but worth all of the work and expense and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Good luck
Denny

Denny,

Nice work. A bit over my head I must admit. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif Separating the 3PH and MM is a great idea though.

I'm not sure how the JD mmm are set up but with your modification does that give you down pressure on the mid mount attachments? It could be beneficial for a mid mount blade but could be bad for a mmm as it could break something. Just curious if the cylinder is hooked directly to the deck or what? I know with my Kubota when I have the mmm on it and want to use the 3ph, it isn't that difficult just more of a hassle to pin the deck out of place to use the 3ph. Sounds like your setup is pretty nice and will cause you less headaches when having the mmm on.

Great project. And nice to have a project like that come together, and a reward for the planning and fitting necessary to make it work.

Missed seeing the cylinder pic.

Wondering if I could do something similar to have rear hyd outlets, would like to be able to run a splitter on occassion and also hyd angle my back blade......

Nice job. Make this into a D-I-Y kit and you can sell a bunch of them to other TBN 2210 owners!
