I had thought about adding another set of quick disconnects but figured to do it later and I dont think it would be hard for you to do.

no down pressure but it can be done with a two minute modification to my setup. The cylinder picture did not post but I will fix that tomorrow for sure and then you can see how it works better

Dennysm,

Could you tell us more about the fittings and tubing you used?

Seems like everyone uses hoses. I wanted to use tubing in a project in the past, but got dead headed as I could find a source of the tubing and fittings necessary...as well as not knowing what type of tubing bender to use and so on.

Any details you can share would be greatly appreciated!

Nice installation, by the way... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Great Idea... I'd like to do the same on my 4110. How about a parts source? and... if you don't mind me asking... What was the total cost... approx.?

BTW your set-up looks very professional and well thought out... might shoot it past JD... maybe they'll buy your design??? Just an idea.

Great job!! Does the height position knob still function with this modification?

The tubing that I used is 1/4" regular hyd. tubing you can get at any supply house and the ends or connectors that I used are all Parker 1/4" compression fittings with ferrules that you can get also at any hyd. supply I jsut happen to have purchased all of the fittings at Hydra Air in Indianapolis which used to be one of my vendors back when I had a business. These fittings I had in stock from a few years back and do not know the current cost of either tubing or the fittings but suppect that all would be less than thirty dollars. the cylinder and control valve with manifold were purchased from the same place and were approx $500.00 for the works so in total I have about $600.00 in the project meby less, as I made the mounts and clevis. The bender is a regular 1/4" tubing bender and is easy to work with. As for the mower height control yes it still works just like it always did as you just have to make sure that you have suffecent room in the clevis to prevent down pressure from acting on the lever arm.
Any other questions you may have I will be glad to help with.

Denny,

You did a fine job with your cylinder control. I was planning on just plugging into one of the loader control circuits for my control, but that would limit loader use. I had thought of separate controls, but had not pursued it much.

In my mind, I was going to mount the cylinder where the current push rod is between the rear tire and frame. I planned to have some sort of slotted clevis design similar to the lift mechanism on my old 445 3-pt. Mounting yours off the loader mount is a different approach I had not considered.

I’ll contact you about additional details when I’m ready.

Denny,
Where did you get the Parker D1VL1CN valve from? I would like to get more specs on it but did not come up with anything on a google search.

<font color="green">Try a search on Google again but just search on "D1VL valve". This should produce a hit at the following URL
