To seek help would undermine our whole existance. We rely on the folks that are not capable of repairing or building anything to provide their endless supply of repurposed materials. Without that supply chain our way of life would be in jepardy. Do not seek help. Just have another cold one and plan that next project!

That statement needs to be immortalized! Make mine a Yuengling and have one on me!

dragonof1,
It has been fun. You're right! When you get so many like minded people kicking ideas around, you just never know what you will come up with.

I have this obsession to start a new project all the time. I can't stop making things.
Re-purposing steel is what I love to do. Do you think I should seek some help?
I have a different view................YES, seek help from us onlookers that throw out ideas...........then build more stuff :thumbsup::thumbsup:

I love that beer! I think Yuengling is the oldest brewery in the USA. The kind souls in Elkins WV must be deeply grateful and no doubt they all had a wonderful weekend thanks to you Don87 !

You would be correct...............Yuengling is the oldest brewery, that's because when 'prohibition' came about.............the others closed up shop, but for some reason Yuengling was permitted to stay in business(dunno why, I haven't investigated).

I'm thinkin it might be this picture that told Yeungling.....................we will survive.:laughing:

Don87,
From looks on those ladies faces, all of their husbands must of been regular Yuengling customers. Great picture!

Massey990,

I hear you about the safety police and check valves. I've lived with a little risk all my life. We even went without wearing seat belts when I was a kid. Imagine that! Never had a cell phone till I was 40. We used to ride in the back of trucks too! My kids wonder why I don't carry my cell phone everywhere I go. We used to remember where we left off off with people when we didn't have cell phones. Going 2 weeks without talking to someone was normal. There wasn't a tenth of the drama there is today. How did the world survive without the safety police? Remember when you saw signs that said, "travel at your own risk." I have my boys running the controls when I'm up in the air. Hopefully they don't get a cell phone call when I'm up 10' in the air. Thanks for the great post.[/QUOTE]

I'll bet you run with scissors too!

Jeepford and XTN,

Truth is I've run with scissors in my hand and my mother warmed my back side for it. Imagine that ! Yes, shirt protectors for the older guys that could afford them. I even ran a grinder without safety glasses because I didn't know what they were and my grandfather need the mower blades sharpened. We almost never wore shoes in the summer. We weeded the gardens all day long without shirts on. We used to go down to the fast water creek and sit in the rapids with our feet on the rocks backwards to feel the cool water roll over our shoulders, and we did it without life preservers. It's amazing that we all survived.
