Craig,

Nice setup with the chains.
What size are the front tires? and are they filled with fluid?

Thanks,

The front tires are 12-16.5 (R4s). The rear tires are the only ones filled with fluid.

I'm a little disappointed in the rear chains however. They still seem to fall between the tire tread even though they are the duo-grip style. With the v-bars though, they still stick up out of the tread but I would rather them sit on top of the tread.

The front chains work great.

Craig are the lights you installed flood or spot type lights?

I have rather large round flood lights that work fine, but take more space than the low profile lights. The rectangular lights that I looked at were all spot type lights.

They're spot lights. I wish they were flood. I will probably keep my eye open for some affordable floods.

Try Northern Tool for Peterson 6"x4" or 5"x3" for about $20 each. I'm in the process of wiring up two trapezoidal beams, and two flood beams. One of each is mounted high on the front, and on the back.

Pictures will be forthcoming if everyday life will quit interfering with getting the wiring done.

Hopefully they will work as well as they look.

Nice job on the lights. The snow looks cold when the outside gets to looking like that at my house I just dont come out until it is gone :)

Up here if we had to wait that long when it snowed we would look like Rip Van Winkle when we emerged. :D :D :D

Very nice mounting job on the lights. They will make a big difference moving that inconsiderate snow that waits until after dark to fall.

Try Durango, CO and other parts of southwestern Colorado that have received 300"+ so far this year.

I heard on the news tonight that Steamboat Springs, Colorado has received 350 inches of snow so far this year, and March and April are our snowiest months.

Our mountains have gotten hammered this year, which means the snow pack is well above normal in most of the river basins. No doubt there will be some flooding come Spring time; but we shouldn't have water restrictions either.
