Ok folks lets see if I can keep from flipping this one.... i hate win i do dat.....

User Agent Switcher .6 it adds a feature to let firefox mimic other browsers when a site is giving trouble and you don't want to switch browsers just to view a site. That may open in FF but be better viewed with IE or Opera. Works ok... I don't use it often...

Another great extension, particularly for discussion forums, is AutoCopy. Just highlight the text and it's automatically copied to the clipboard.

Oh the irony......this is the way the highlight/copy/paste concept has worked for years (for ever?) on Linux/UNIX/BSD/etc systems (specifically The X Windowing System GUI), and now it is being 'discovered' by Windows users.

Wait a minute, I thought Microsoft was the dark side and Linux, Xandros and Linspire (aka Lindows) were the light side? /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Actually, I've switched all my PCs to use Firefox. I've tried most of the alternatives, e.g., Opera, Avant, and Firefox is a keeper. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

When I boot up, IE always starts and goes to home my page. Can this be disabled? I, too, prefer Firefox. G

This means IE is in your start up folder. While it depends on the version of Windows you're running....
Start
Settings
Taskbar & Start Menu...
Advanced
Advanced

This brings up a Windows Explorer session with the Start Menu highlighed

Click on the + just to the left of Start Menu
Select Startup

There should be a shortcut to IE there.

I haven't tried anything except the Foxfire Browser, but it is great!

I checked my startup menu and it's not listed.

I think I should've said, "When I go online". G
