Do you cut your grass in an arcing pattern or do you cut in straight rows. Every multi-blade mower with offset (non-overlapping) blades has a small range of radii where the mower will miss the strip between the true distance between the baldes (1/4 in your case). The test for this is to compare your cuttings results while traveling in a straight line with your cutting results while traveling in an arc.
