Where do I find the fuel economy ratings for the 3520 vs the 3320 ? My dealer told me that my new 3520 would be better on fuel. I though since 3530 was more hp it would work less to do the same as the small 3320, then save fuel ? Turbos are better right ? I mean they cost more so it should be better.
ROB, I just found the fuel ratings, yes the 3320 only uses 2.0 gal an hour and the 3530 uses 2.4 gal per hour . but the extra hp of the 3530 will get the job done faster than the smaller 3320 so the it would save fuel since the 3320 would still be working. Right? Since it has a turbo and it cost more to build

I have a 3520 but almost purchased a 3320. I think both are fine and really there isn't much difference between the two. I just happened to get my 3520 new for cheaper than a 3320 new (long story), but I doubt any of the tasks I do with my 3520 I couldn't do with the 3320. You will lose traction way before you run out of power, IMO.

We've had lengthy discussions about turbo and non turbo. Basically it comes down to what you like. I like the non turbo (3320 engine is bigger that the 3520/3720) I'm not a big turbo fan they run hotter but the Deere's are pretty much bullet proof either way. I want to keep the fuel usage down low, most time my tractor runs at ~1600 rpms except when I'm blowing or bush hogging. 33 hp is enough for me (right now anyway) and it pulls all my implements. I like the two series for running around. They're nice little tractors but they won't do the work I need so I went to the 3320 with the 48 BH, I'm set, the 46 hoe just didn't do the heavy work I wanted it to. It's a nice hoe though.
Cost is a factor in some things but not so much in the engines. Cost gets you more hp with more complexity. Usually cost in tractors gets you bigger pumps, faster hydros, etc.
I would say at 16000 rpm both tractors get close to the same economy with the 3320 having the edge. Full out I'd say the 3320 does marginally better

The only place a 3520 or 3720 will top a 3320 is with pto implements. My 3320 will run out of traction well before power and I've got loaded tires an a 448 on the rear. And as Rob stated the 3320 has the largest engine of the line. As for the R4's those are the smaller size but I believe the smaller units have more load capacity. To the OP you'll be super happy with your new toy. Congrats!!
