I started my first project removing a stump. This tree was huge so it will take some time.

These trees were the same size so you can see how big it was. It was such a nice tree I was hit with lightning and died.

Saturday, I finished up with the stump removal. I was very happy this tractor and the backhoe. I was able to move the tractor around in neutral after I lifted Front end loader with just using the backhoe power. This was great and very time saving.
It performed very well the only thing is I would like to add a bigger bucket I only have a 10" bucket.
Does the Titan buckets fit the 1710? They are a very reasonable cost if not I might try making one.

My ROPS would get very noisy at 2000 RPM.
I put electrical tape round one of the bolts that holds it. I also put tape around the pins.
It is silent now. So much better. This was driving me crazy.

I greased up my PTO 60" finish mower and mowed a few acres with it.
Next time I run it I will move the pins on the mower to the inside to make it fit this tractor a little better.

On my tractor (an older 2310), there were 2 o-rings that came with it that were slipped onto the ROPS holding pins. I've had to replace them a number of times, but they're really cheap and work well to eliminate the rattle(s) there. They only last a year or two, so I keep a bag of them in my "tractor drawer" to use as needed. They're just thick enough to provide a bit of elastic tension there when you put the locking pins in place.

The o-rings are slipped over the pin and pushed/rolled right up against the bigger diameter lip on the head of it... if that makes sense. I'll try to get a pic: (you can see how weather-cracked they are -- will be replacing them soon, I suspect.)

Very nice, thanks for sharing. That little machine gets it done!

I went out and look at my tractor I do have those o rings on my pins and mine also look weathered.

The bolt that was making all the noise was not the pins it was the one threaded bolt behind the pin.
It was tight but it had some play in the hole it was in just enough that at higher RPM it would make lots of noise.
I wrapped it with tape and that stopped the noise.

I will replace the rubber o rings and see if that stops the pins without tape on them.
Thanks for the info.

The ditch on the front of my property is to steep and I can not mow it with a zero-turn mower. I hoped that my son would not get a couple tires over the edge and roll the mower. I even quit letting him mow the very front of the property.

Over the weekend I put my 1710 to work on the ditch. It looks like I will be able to mow at least one side of it maybe both sides.
This little tractor can do a lot of work in a short period on time.

I have put 20 hours on my tractor so far and I am really enjoying using this tractor.
I have mowed the pasture with a 60” finish mower. I have used the drag harrow on ½ the pasture. It has done well with each task.

How'd you make out on the ROPs rattle?

One of the bolts was rattling I put a one-layer electrical tap on it and tapped it in. that worked great I also taped the pins it is completely quiet now.
Someone posted a picture of a new tractor coming with I piece of rubber tube on the quick pins I am going to try that just for looks.

I am thinking about building a shooting range on the back of my property. That will be a big job for my tractor.
