First Serious Project - Clearing 1.5 Acres

Well we like one more of logs and dressing it up some. A total of 5 loads went out with a total of about 6,000 board feet of timber maybe more. Here is a picture of next to the last load being loaded.

As you can see the cleariing project is nearly finished, Now then Phase 3 comes in... Cleaning the roots, Preparing it for plowing, building terraces, plowing and then add fertilizer and planting the winter crops. Still a lot of work to be done.

Finishing Phase 2 of the project. Now Phase 3, plowing and picking out roots come next as soon as I can get a Tractor to do this. I have already began picking up rocks and roots by hand. The next few pictures will be download only and not shown because I have requested pictures loading on reading thread be removed so the Dreadful Dial-Up users like myself won't have to wait for loading of each page and they can look at only the ones they choose and move on to the other very good threads on TBN.

Looking across some of my equipment toward the left side where it is completed and the 953 Cat with 130 HP weight at at 32,000 lb's back dragged it with teeth because I do not have my tractor. He did this to help me keep it from washing in case we get a lot of rain from the possible hurricane coming in toward Florida and Gulf Coast.
