Well I didn't get to plant today... maybe it will be dry enough tomorrow. It absolutely needs to be planted by this weekend or no need to plant. It will be too late I am afraid. Of course we are having un-seasonably warm weather this year like we did last year. Who knows... maybe it will work out, especially if I get the seed planted by this weekend.

Today I started at 7:00 am EST and planted the following:

01) Yellow Onions - 100 ft

02) Red/Purple Onions - 100 ft

03) Brussell Sprouts - 75 ft

04) Broccoli - 125 ft

05) Spinach - 100 ft

06) Succession Cabbage - 125 ft will plant more.

07) Round Dutch Cabbage - 125 ft will plant more.

08) Thomas Laxton Peas - 225 ft

09) Butter Crunch Lettuce - 75 ft

This should be a nice addition to the food being grown.

They are calling for rain tonight and tomorrow Sept. 29th, 2005 - Got it planted just in time for the rain. Actually it hasn't started yet but it has tried to rain a couple of times today while I was planting.

I just got in from the Truck Patch Garden at 7:45 pm EST. It's been a long but very productive day.

I'll post some pictures as it germinates and breaks through the earth so we can see it ok. Keep checking back and see the progress.

Have a Great Day.

Huge Down Pour last night or actually early this morning about 2:30 am EST until about 5:30 am EST.

We had very little erosion. A lot less than I expected considering that the grass wasn't well established. I will post pictures as soon as it is dry enough for me to walk in it. I counted only three minor places of erosion and it wasn't bad. I guess all that hard work paid off after all.

When I woke up around 2:30 am the bottom had fallen out and I was afraid to look. I just knew that all of it would be washed away. I did send a prayer up asking that it not be washed away. By the Grace of God... God protected my Truck Patch Garden from a major erosion. I Thank God and all the experts that helped me design the Truck Patch Garden to help prevent erosion. God does still work miracles!

If you remember I mentioned selling my Jeep to keep this project going. I have three pictures of it for you to see. It is a 2003 Wrangler with 10,700 miles on it... 99.9% of them road miles if not all. I want $18,500.00 or Best Offer. It is a 5 speed and has a Rubicon Stereo System in it. Believe it or not.. it rides very comfortable. I drove it to Fort Sill, Oklahoma twice and to Bonham, Texas once. This is where most of the miles that is on it was accumalated. Some of those roads have a lot to be desired in comfort but the Jeep made them okay to ride on. I was impressed to say the least when I found how good it rode compared to the rumble roads out in those areas.

Ok. now for the rain and erosion information. We got nearly 4 inches of rain in about 3 hours. The following pictures are of the Truck Patch Garden after the rain. Considering how much rain we received... it faired out pretty well. This is the worse place and I will post the other pics of the other damage as well.
