How is the well house doing?

The well house hasn't been built as of yet. I have been so busy with work. I am hoping I can build something quick and temporary until I can have more time. The website has kept me very busy and with all the foreclosures going on... my time is spent trying to help people from losing their homes. I may have to deligate some of my duties to others if things keep growing. Not complaining but just takes a lot of my time. I use to have atleast one to two weeks a month to do thing I needed to do. Now I am lucky to have 2 or 3 hours.

Here's wishing you and yours a very Happy Thanksgiving.

Jim

Jim,
If you are worried about your well freezing, get some straw or hay bales and stack them around the well until you can get to the well house project.
Happy Thanksgiving.

Thank you David. I will try and get some hay and do that as well as wrap the equipment with some kind of insulation. Then put plastic over the entire unit.

Happy Thanksgiving.

I am sorry if someone else has already posted this idea. I skipped to the last thread to post this. I noticed that you had to cut down a bunch of blackberrys while clearing. I have heard of people in my area talking about how popular thornless blackberry plants are and how well they sell. Have you looked into that as a cash crop.

good luck to you in your endeavor.

I put up a pumphouse about 10x10 with outdoor 4x8 sheets of some type masonite siding one summer. Was enclosed on 3 sides with tin roof. Well, come winter I needed something to finish 4th side, was right after election, and I went and scavenged some of the plastic political posters, some were 4x8 in size. I nailed them up. Now I call it my political pump house, when the light is on inside, it has a fairly nice look. Luckily for me, the poster side faces away from the kitchen window, my wife was not as amused as myself.

Atleast you are putting those annoying political posters to some good use. The politicians should have to pay a fine for littering if they don't pick up their posters after election. Or atleast create jobs to get them disposed of in the proper way. But that's another story. I thank you for using them in a constructive way.:D
