For those that would like to check on our donations of food to the hungry.

We have donated to individual families and to the following soup kitchen in our area.

"Our Daily Bread" - Located in Seneca, SC 864-882-3308 - Open from 9 am to 1 pm EST

They serve meals daily except for Saturday & Sundays

We also donate to Meals on Wheels

Yesterday evening I harvested the first Ambrosia Canteloupe from the Truck Patch. It was very sweet and was vine ripe. I should have many next week to distribute to the families, soup kitchens and Meals on Wheels. We also should have watermelon (Jubilee & Crimson Sweet) ready next week. We already have approximately 300 lbs or more of yellow squash ready to pick again. God surely has blessed this Food Project. It has produced tons of food already. Thanks again for all that has supported our Food Project. You should be proud of your donations... they have multiplied many times in produce. :)

Mornin Jim,
Looking VERY impressive for sure !!! Just wondering where all the jalepenos are going to be used ??? Should be enough to keep New Orleans in hot peppers for a week :)

Thanks Scott,

Many Jalepenos were used in Chilli Beans that were made for the Meals On Wheels and also with soups at the soup kitchens. It was also used in Mexican Cornbread as well. We have pulled another pound or so and put in the freezer for winter usage. I checked today and by Friday we should have another 5 lbs. This is from 31 Jalepeno pepper plants. Should spice things up a bit for everyone ;)

Everything is producing well. We even harvested about 50 lbs of eggplant today, 550 lbs of yellow squash, 250 lbs of Green Squash, 85 lbs of tomatoes, 80 lbs of cucumbers, 35 lbs of green tomatoes, 15 lbs of bell pepper, and about 95 lbs of zuchinni. All in all... a great harvest to start the week out
