I bought a hand pump like for a 55 gallon drum but it takes a bit to pump 5 gallons at about a pint per pump. I think my P7010 takes 25 gallons to change out the hydraulic oil which will be a while to the 300 hour mark. Motor oil is about 3 gallons IIRC. I wish someone made a hose that would screw on to the 5 gallon bucket spigot and then you could just tip it over in the FEL or other high spot and let it drain in. With the gear drive transmission, not too much wear to worry about in the hydraulic system so as long as it stays clean, it should be good for many years.
The old iron tractors didnt even have a filter and we never changed the oil in them unless it got milky from water contamination and I never heard of anyone having hydraulic pump failure. We busted a lot of hoses and probably added over 5 gallons per year due to oil loss.
