Awww...now you've gone and made me miss my old Cub 123 and 1450. The 1450 with the single stage Thrower would really move some snow if you could keep it revved up. Will I miss those 10 degree, 4am, 20 mph wind, no cab, snow-suit, motorcycle helmet, freezing by behind off days....no. But man those old cubs were good to me for a long time. Since replaced by a BX2200, cab, snower thrower, heat, lights, wiper.... I remember when I was young and tough :)

Thought you might enjoy this. I am glad to hear I am not the only one who would wear a motorcycle helmet in the cold. I had 75 lb wheel weights and had to put the rototiller on the back of my 1450 to do this(no chains). I did my drive the neighbors drive and even drove a mile up the road to plow my In-Laws drive. This is from 1999.

Jadd -- you need a snow blower on the BX for that deep snow you get.

I tried a box scraper for rear weight. That did not help. We got so much snow, so fast. The ground is not frozen, and it turns to mud after running over the same area twice. I was going to sell my walk behind blower, but I think I'll keep it until I get a blower for the BX. All in all, the front set up worked better than last year's rear blade set up, but the shear volume of snow was too much.

Ha, hey jadd, instead of being depressed by all that snow on the roof, just remind your that it adds some extra insulation!:D

Can't say I remember that tune - can you hum a few bars?

:D

It must be the tractor, because I have this neighbor (who's also on TBN) that wears what must be the funniest outfit you've ever seen on a tractor, and his wife seems to love him just the same.

The rest of us just smile and wave as we drive by; careful not to lose control of our vehicles while laughing.

:D
