I did read all the post in the grubbing section. Good reading!

==========
I got the grubbing project finished up yesterday except for 7 stumps to dig around.

Me and 3 of my next door neighbors with 3 chain saws worked all day sawing up trees for firewood till we got rained out about 3 or 4 PM.

How are you and the back hoe getting along by now??

Im getting better at it /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I dug up four more stumps this weekend. One was pretty good size. Getting much better with the controls. Sure beats digging with the shovel. Also moved some dirt around.
I had an area in the back yard that was covered with briars.
Ive got all that cleared now. After I get some other area's taken care of I can plant some nice plants. Got tired of always gettin bit with stickers /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
I really need to get off the tractor and pick up the chain saw myself!

It's rained almost steady since yesterday afternoon and the forcast is more of the same for the next 2 or 3 days.
how can it do that when I have 7 stumps waiting on me and the BX 23?
How frustrating - there ought to be a law against such things L O L .

I did my first one last night, though it was a little bigger, about a 12" diameter stump with my "new" 580. It took awile since I had never even used a backhoe before, let alone one with six levers and two foot pedals lol.

One stump down, three acres worth to go!

[12" diameter stump with my "new" 580.)

I assume that your talking about the Case 580. That's a nice machine with brute power to spare. I've rented one a couple of times, you should have no problem removing most stumps unless they are really huge.
