Finally, WINDOWS! This is a view from the North looking under some oaks. Sorry to have posted so many pictures. We have remodeled, but have never built a new house. This is our "final" home and we've planned and designed for 3 years. Naturally, we're very excited. Knowing how TBNers love the land, I thought some of you would enjoy sharing our joy.

Starting tomorrow, the fasia and siding will begin. We're using Hardie siding in two widths with 51/2" trim surrounding all windows. The roof (green) should be on within two weeks. Also, this week the wells will be dug for the geo-thermal system. Lots to do and think about....

After this, I can't even buy a screwdriver! I need to take a picture of the entrance flower bed that's being developed where your rocks will go, just in case you arrive when I'm not there.

I am, and certainly a lot of others are enjoying the pictures very much. We built our house 12 years ago, and I remember the joy along with the problems.

The guy who framed your roof must be a genius! If I could do it all over again I would use hip roofs; they just make more sense.

A beautiful place. Keep the pictures coming.

Dagnab Bill, next you will have me declaring bankruptcy. You realize that to haul them thar rocks I'll need a new truck and trailer.

I've only got a 185 HP 96 dodge with an auto transmission and that just don't cut it no more. Then when you consider my pension which is well below the poverty level--- well heck-- I got trouble affording the free forum we be communicatin on.

Load 'em up in that tractor bucket and head out. Shouldn't take more than a couple of weeks at 10-15 mph. Don't forget rear ballast.
