That is interesting.

I used 2 formulas and both gave me the same result. Both have online calculators.

it all relates to length of the extension. I wanted a lower setting on my wrench. Using 12 inches instead of 14 as in your case and my wrench I get a setting of 180 ft lbs.

How did you calculate that out?
I made a extension to get 300 ft/lb off a 150 wrench.
It was 14.something inches@ something less than 150 setting (closer to 130 maybe?)
That picture just seems like its way out of whack.
I have a 4:1 torque multiplier that I bought for 25 bucks many moons ago.

Good thread. Lot of good information. I never "torque" those. Just get a cheater and a good 1" breaker bar and tighten the snot out of them.

Good idea to get help as well. Handling a rear tractor tire can go bad very quickly.
