I've been trying to figure out if this is a concern for me or not. When did you run up against the L2501 limits while brush hogging?
We found the 2501 was slow pulling the brush hog up any sort of hill, and we have hills. We also get fast growing stuff- it only takes a month to have thick 2 foot Johnson grass, briars and woody stuff like sweetgums coming right back up. The price difference to get the L3901 was minimal (if you finance it is hardly anything monthly) and was well worth it as the power difference is huge. We use it on 2 properties
We also have an MX5800 for the larger properties and brush hogged 10 acres yesterday in about 4-5 hours. This was first cut in July after at least 5 years of growing a forest of small trees, so yesterday it has a lot of woody stuff coming up off the stobs- its nice and smooth now. Now that its cleaned up I have 2 neighbors wanting to farm it- one for tomatoes and one for watermelon..
