Did you put a deposit on it? It's fair game to be sold otherwise.

I agree, I actually offered but they said no need......It probably was not bait and switch but it sure felt like it. I'm not upset and of course wiser for the next purchase.

I had a tractor dealer give me one price on the phone, then a higher price when i came in to buy, do i know how that feels.

Once i told my polaris dealer i wanted to buy, he took a small credit card deposit and marked it sold. I actually had to pick it up later, as they had to put roof on, and do credit stuff.

Just paid my polaris off this month.

Still need to get my aftermarket windshield installed.

Hey guys,

I went with the Mule 4010 Trans, I think it will be perfect for what we need it for on the farm.

It fit easily on the trailer, except for the fact that I couldn't back it on. It was pouring rain and the dealer said towing it backwards would force the rain down the exhaust vents. It still pulled fine (although it would have been better with more weight on the front) and when its dry pulling it when its loaded backwards should make it really stable.

My trailer is 6.5 x10 so it had plenty of width and had almost two feet for the lenght. I only went 45mph on the way home and it felt solid, but would have been more comfortable with more weight on the tongue.

Thanks for all the help, I need all this rain to move out so I can play with this thing.

Thanks guys,

The trailer is a single axle that can handle 3500 pounds. The Polaris weights in at 1,392 pounds so well under the limit.

I do have to tow it about 22 miles...would you just rent a trailer or go ahead and try mine? I could back the Polaris on it to put more weight in the front but certainley don't want to be unsafe.

Keep in mind your trailer can handle 3500 lbs less the weight of the trailer itself.

A world of difference towing when its backed on, the extra tongue weight changes everything. Very stable, couldn't even tell it was back there.

So a 6 1/2 x 10 foot trailer has no issues pulling a 4010 Trans Kawasaki Mule.

Not sure why that would be any problem. When I bought a John Deere TX gator a while back, I used my single axle 6x12 enclosed cargo trailer to haul it home. I bought the gator at a dealer about 70 miles away. Could have used my semi truck and trailer but figured that would be overkill. I use that to carry a dozen Kawasaki mules from factory to distribution points occasionally. To haul one lone gator, nah.

Something to be aware of when towing your mules, gators or what ever check your warranty on windshields and roofs:
some are voided if you tow over 45 mph.

Sometimes a weight transfer hitch can make a marginal towing setup more stable. Cheaper than a trailer upgrade.

From your picture, it looks like you could use more drop on your hitch, and you could pull the Mule all the way to the front of your trailer.

Here's how I loaded my neighbor's Mule and my quad. Pulled great..200 mile round trip on interstates and mountain roads.
