So in your logic, just because deers has more name recognition than another brand.. that immediatly makes them top of the line? Deere is a licensing 'ho'.. it will stick it's logo and name on any piece of merchandise known to man, if it can get a cut of the profits.
I like haveing tractor branded merchandise to a degree.. but some stuff takes it into the ridiculess.
With your logic of name recognition = superior quality.. I'd like you to explain the walmart situation???
name recognition does not equal quality.. it means that someone in marketing is doing thier job. Marketing and quality are by no means ratio-locked.. we've all seen well hyped items that turn out to be worthless.. enron stock comes to mind here...
