I just found out my step-father has a 1936 Unstyled John Deere B that has been sitting at my step-brothers for years. My father, who has done numerous restorations, and myself will be hauling her up to his garage in a few days to start the overhaul. If I fix it up...it's mine. I can't wait. Any advice?

Enjoy. Plan to spend a lot more money then you think. Plan to take a lot longer then you think. LOTS of pictures.[post some here, we would love to see some] Take notes. LOTS of boxes, and zip lock bags. Markers. Most of all have fun. Don't race to get it done, you won't be happy with the outcome if you do.

I agree with Garry. Take pictures of the restoration process from start to finish. Then, start a thread in these forums that document the work you've done. This would be highly educational for the rest of us and likely just fun seeing a vintage JD 'saved' from the graveyard for another run in the sun. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif
