Tractor
Kioti DK40SE
I did it, finally bought my first tractor. Kioti DK40SE with 2nd rear remote, rim guard loaded rears and a worksaver SSGR262 grapple. Not too sure about the grapple yet, not that I don't like it but the thing is absolutely gigantic. Website says it weighs in at 780lbs  I wanted a different model but they didn't like the idea since that one was rated for up to "40hp" and the DK40 is 41hp.... But it will work for what I plan on doing with it. Trying to get some pics but they don't seem to want to make it to my computer at the moment.

How much lift do you have on your FEL?

Paul,

Welcome to TBN and Congratulations on your new machine! Very nicely equipped too!

How much lift do you have on your FEL?

The 401 FEL is 2800Lbs minus the 780 lbs for the grapple so around 2000Lbs - that's a lot of material in the grapple!

Lets see some action shots too Paul.

That still leaves a lot of lift for hauling debris. A large grapple comes in handy. Smaller ones are good for digging and heavier loads.

Yes it is brand new 2013, had 7 hrs when they delivered it. It is not a hydro, originally wanted a hydro but only got so much to work with since the new tier 4 stuff for 2014.
Ill definitely get some shots of stuff I lift once it dries up a bit and im not sinking the front tires in everywhere. I did move an old telephone pole outta the pasture that I couldn't budge with the atv. No idea on weight but its about 25-30ft long. Try to get some decent pics tomorrow of the grapple. The tines have to be about 1" thick with welded on tips. First time I saw it all I could think of was a bulldozer.

Congrats, yer gonna love the tractor. Now i have grapple envy

Are you glad your tractor doesn't have to go through the pressure washer with his tractor and be embarrassed?

One thing is for sure, he is never going to bend the tines on that grapple... loader arms maybe, but NOT those tines. OMG..

Thanks for all the compliments. The dealer told me that when the distributer delivered it he said to make sure and tell me "Do not to dig into the ground with lower tines. Just skim across the top to gather things before clamping. Also DO NOT DIG OUT ROCKS, at all." I kinda just looked at the guy a bit funky thinking "how the heck am I going to destroy that thing? If I dig into the ground is it just going to fall apart? And (im not an expert by any means but) picking up a 2000lb rock probably wont bent the 1" thick tine...." I believe its "rated" for 45hp-90hp skid steers..... Good thing is that if I ever upgrade, ill know I wont be needing a new grapple...

Oh and since this is in the buying/pricing section.... $21195 for tractor with loader and loaded tires with free delivery. $560 for 2nd remote installed. $3300 for grapple installed with hoses from rear remote. they also put in an extra set of hydraulic couplers by loader hoses so I can remove loader and leave grapple hoses in place. Only thing that got me a bit ticked off was it took 4 weeks to get after getting approved since we had to wait for the grapple but its not the dealers fault.
