Re: fix and tidy list

BCzoom mentioned this thread at the lunch meeting we had on Saturday...I can't believe I missed it! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

On the other hand, I'm Kind of glad I missed it though...the beating I took for doing nothing sure hurt a lot less than doing everything you guys suggested should be done! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I am finally learning to put the toilet seat back down... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Takes a while to recover from vacations sometimes... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

By the way, the pictures of those tractors with their hoods lifted is a legitimate collection... /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Just because I keep them hidden in my basement workshop means nothing... /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Bill,

Your problem may be solved! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Just heard on the radio this weekend about a new toilet that's now available here in the states. Apparently it's the result of a Japanese invention, which according to the report, is widely used in Japan.

For a mere $5,000.00, you can get a programmable toilet that will raise the cover as you approach, and then if the person stands in front of it for a few seconds, it will raise the seat because it "assumes" the person is a male. When finished, it automatically flushes and lowers the seat and the cover. It does some other things too, but I choose not to go into detail at this time. /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

With your experiences in Japan, surely you're familiar with these, aren't you?

Well, you can get them here now! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: fix and tidy list

Golfgar4,
Sounds pretty neat, but I'm waiting for the lazyboy toilet to come out. You know, like the one they had on "Home Improvement". /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
Let's teach the ladies to keep the seat up. I mean, it's a lot easier to use at 2:00 a.m. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Who would have thought Henro would miss a thread?
I thought he was running around doing all the things listed and had no time to post.

I think you leave the seat where it is when you are done. So you just know you may have to move it to use it.

Oh yes, Henro, you probably should take your BX apart and take it back outside where it belongs instead of the living room.

Re: fix and tidy list

Golfgar4,

Yes, I have seen (and even tried) similar, but less exotic versions... /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif Still, being who I am, I developed a simpler and more cost effective solution. I just walk outside... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

As far as seat up/seat down...may be time for a survey. What is the standard for TBN members? UP or DOWN? I mean toilet set VS family overall gender ratio. Growing up, it was 3 to 1 male to female ratio. Mom stressed keeping the seat up. In my house the tide turned and when the kids were here, it was 3 to 1 female to male ratio. It just seemed natural it should be a "seat down house." What is the TBN norm I wonder... /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

A couple years ago we were visiting a couple who had moved from Pgh down to Florida, where he was from originally. They had raised two boys. I figured it was probably a seat up house. We were joking around at dinner and I asked if it was a seat up or seat down house, figuring I could see who wore the pants...the answer was "The seat is ALWAYS down in my house...all the time..." Hummmmm, OK, interesting concept...I didn't know... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif"

I give my friend the benifit of the doubt now, and when I think of him I picture him wearing a Scottish kilt... /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Well, since this thread is going down the drain, I'll respond.
For gender, our house is 50/50, but... I have my room, they have theirs. Hasn't been an issue. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
