This device came up in a discussion sometime back. I thought it would be fairly easy to make one, although I admit I bought this one. Scruffy asked for some pictures, but none were ever put up, at least that I could find.
For people who have never seen or used one of these, I'll explain. Hopefully, you can see in the picture that it is not much more than a 2" PVC pipe with a screw cap at one end, and an air valve in the cap. At the other end it is a cap with a nipple in the middle that is attached to a length of hose with a clip on type air chuck.
With this device and the tire goop, you can take care of most flats. The goop is sold in various size containers. I usually buy the gallon size, and it runs about $14.00 to $16.00.
All you have to do is, remove the valve core, clip on the air chuck, unscrew the cap and fill with goop, screw the cap back on, and shoot air to it untill you can hear that all the goop has gone into the tire. Then reinstall the valve core, air up the tire, and your good to go. As you drive the goop sloshes around in the tire and seals the leak, and will seal any additional leaks.
I have found that one tube full is enough to treat the front tires on my TC29D. I haven't had to treat the rear tires yet, but I think back when I used the old 9N, I gave the rear tires 3 or 4 shots.
I have alot, and I do mean alot of thorns on my place and I swear by this stuff. You might have to retreat the tire every so often but it's still easier and cheaper than other methods of flat repair.

A view of the screw on cap with air valve showing. It looks like it is threaded and screws into the cap.
I also want to add that according to the label on the goop it can be used on tires with water, with or without CaCl.

Ernie,

What's the name of the goop? You say you can put it in the tire even if the tire is filled with calcium chloride. Do you think it would matter that the calcium water is in a tube? Would it seal the tube?

Glenn, The stuff I use is called Super Seal Formula 100. I don't have water in my tires, but That is what the label on the jug says. I have used it on both tube and tubeless tires. Also, I've seen it used in lawn mower, wheel barrow, and bike tires.

ERNIEB, a neighbor saw one of those somewhere, so he made his own, and while he was at it, made several and gave me one. I've not only used it for putting the "goop" in tires, but also for putting the antifreeze in my rear tires on the tractor. It holds a quart at a time and he removed the pin from the center of the clip on chuck so it shoots the stuff in amazingly fast; just one quick burst of air is all it takes.

When we discussed these things before, I believe it was before I had a digital camera. So now I'll try a picture of mine.

Incidentally, I've been trying to figure out how you guys put your pictures in the posted message instead of as an attachment, but I haven't figured that out yet.
