Fixing the 300CX Grille Guard

Great minds think alike, but mine is a simpler design due to the limited fabricating skills of the designer--that would be me. My yellow Deere-deer came out good though, LOL! I really like the wings on Jim's guard, but trying that would have been like brain surgery for me and my little Lincoln 225.

Seriously, anybody with one of the open JD guards ought to put one of these on, might save a lot of grief later.

Looks like a great job to me Picker.

That was my orignial offer......to make the piece that is missing from the Deere guard. $40 + 10 shipping to the lower 48.

I'll leave that to Foggy and his fabricator... Looks to me like his version would be a well-spent $50 for those with tractor models his guard will fit.

In my case, making and selling anything sounds suspiciously like a job, and I'm staying retired!

I looked over the existing Deere guard....and didn't see a simple way to mount a plate without drilling. The drilled holes are in existing gusset plates found in the JD guard.....and pretty easy to access and drill. But there are other existing holes in the JD Guard and perhaps you could conceive a means.

Frankly, I'm staying retired too...:thumbsup:....all I would do is pass on a name of a good fabricator whom would provide a plate similar to my set-up. I'm staying on the sidelines.
