Have a 2004 B2910 with 300 hours on it. Last weekend when I tried to use the float setting to back drag with my bucket it wouldn't go into float. It's worked fine for 5 years until now. Could it be air in the lines; or any other ideas?

Thanks !!!

Lube the linkage. A healty dose of WD40 usually frees it up. I'm sure you checked to make sure the lock-out plate was not in the way.

If the lever was able to get to the float position and still not work right then there may be a valve issue. The folks in the hydraulic forum might be of some help.

I'm gonna speculate you have moisture and crup built up under the cap on the backside of your loader valve. Usually, the problem shows up at sub-freezing temperatures, and the moisture in there freezes and stops the valve from working. If you are going to remove the cap and clean it out, do it in a clean, well lit environment. Otherwise you'll never find those little steel balls that operate the detent.
