Flashing Icon next to hour meter???

Never noticed it before but on the left side of the hour meter window is a little Icon - not sure what it is for?? Looked in the manual for my 4700HST and no clue - nada info that I can find. When I noticed it last night - I had finally got around to washing the crud/dust off the dash from several months of Spring work and see that little thing flashing at me. Does anyone know what it is??

If memory serves me correctly, it flashes when the engine is running. Best I can tell is it showing you your hour meter is working.

That thingy that kinda' looks like an hourglass? The local JD guy says it's a "Service Reminder" that flashes when it's time to change the oil and stuff (at least on my X595). Somewhere in there by the fuse panel is a button you have to push to get it to quit flashing for another 50 or 100 hours.

My spouse just learned how to drive my 4210 yesterday, she is used to scanning gauges and she asked what that little icon meant, I told her it starts flashing when your next payment is almost due....so I couldn't afford to help with the grocery budget this weekend.

If that is the answer - can sombody with a new machine please look at this and advise if it is blinking - then the next question is - for us that do our own service - where is the thingie button?
