Flat Towing UTV to on property job site with tractor

You perked my curiosity. I read thru my Kubota RTV manual. Here's what I found.

I get that. But I really think this is to keep yahoos from flat towing these things to the trails 40 miles on slab at 60mph. Not to tow it 1 mile at 6 mph through the pasture. BUT I COULD BE WRONG! More research needed.

That is an option, but a couple extra steps that make it more time consuming. And often times I have crap on my trailers.

I had to go back and reread the initial post. We don't know what UTV we are talking about? When you buy one, then research. But it's obvious by some posts that not all UTVs can be towed. When it comes to defining distance and speed that's allowed, that's a very gray area. Neither Mapleleaf's or my UTVs allow it with no mention of distance or speed.

The bed is a little over 6' wide and 12' long. So it would haul a small skid steer.

I think it was designed for anything that would fit and wasn't too heavy.

It just seems weird that you absolutely CANNOT tow and RTV for any reason. What happens if it dies on the back 40? You have to call a rollback to get it out of there? I plan on buying one that CAN be towed.

Okay. Please report your specific findings when you ask the salesman if it can be towed? And if they say yes, have them show you in writing. This will be entertaining.

I think of it like OK in emergency like getting stuck or breakdown for short trip but not something to due regularly which I assume the OP was considering..... but just my 2 cents.... we all be free to do what we want with our stuff I guess as long as we not hurting others or breaking any laws...
kinda like the discussions on modifying roll bars or what type of grease to use.
