Do any of you 2305 owners have the Flexpoint hitch ? I am thinking of getting one but the supplier can't tell me for sure if it will fit my 2305 . The specs says it is 24 1/2" between the pins and 30 1/4" overall. I think it won't fit. They say that it should fit. If this won't fit I will get the ezmover hitch.
Thanks, Al:confused:

planman,
Hello. I have a Flexpoint hitch and use it on my 2520 now and previously on my JD755 with no problems. Before I try to answer your question I will have to ask one. Are you looking to just use it to tow/move trailer(s)?

If you just need it to tow or move trailers there are much cheaper options. Bill Reugg Manufacturing makes a 3PT drawbar for towing. He has CAT0 for sure and I think a CAT1 too. $88 with shipping includes everthing except The Ball(s). For about the same money you could also get the parts to make one of these at Tractor Supply Co. You might also be able to just mount a ball on your tractor's included drawbar if you only need 1 ball size.

When bought my Flexpoint it was (I think) $199 plus maybe $35 shipping. At that time it didn't include 3PT pins which I bought at Tractor Supply where I also bought a Tri-ball hitch (another $50). Between my place and my inlaw's farm we have 5 different trailers and need all 3 ball sizes. I also got the optional weight bracket and use it for ballasting, but I already had suitcase weights.

So as to whether it will fit your 2320, I measured 25 3/8" as the 3PT width needed for the Flexpoint. So you need to set the inside-to-inside space on your 3PT arms to 25 3/8"
and if you still have some clearance on your tires it will fit. I really like mine. Its a well made product, but as I said, you might be able to find something else cheaper if you just need to tow a trailer.

Thanks for the reply Hemiguy.
I will be useing the hitch to tow a trailer most of the time. But it might not be limited to that. My tractor is a 2305 not a 2320, and just looking at it I din't think the arms will adjust to 25 3/8". I haven't been able to find a link to Bill Reugg manufacturing yet. Do you have a link to them ?
Thanks again, Al

This was pretty easy to make and works fine for moving trailers around the property.

2305, yes I didn't read your post very well. I'm not actually sure if Ruegg has a website, but he does sell on Ebay. Do an advanced Ebay search by seller ID (rueggmfgllc). You should see his CAT0 drawbar come up. Give him a call (330-418-5617) to ask if he has a CAT1 version and what spacing it has. He also sells direct as well as EBAY.

Also don't forget the option of just putting a ball on your fixed drawbar. Remember that the 3PT has no down preasure so something like a dump trailer could cause the 3PT to raise. Good luck in your search.
