Float valves useful on top n tilt??

A prime circumstance for using float mode with the side link is for final smoothing of a road. Now of course it makes a difference with the road. But if you have a crown on the road and have drives off of the road, going around those corners onto the drive becomes a breeze with the implement following the ground vs following the tractor and either leaving a pile of material or digging in and making a divot.

I have one area where we have a Y in the road. Well one side is a good size berm to control run off as well as simply staying with the lay of the land. Going up and over that berm would be a major ordeal to have the road smooth without using the float feature with my side link.

Only a couple of examples, but ones that would have me changing how I would do things if I did not have the float feature. ;)

Something else to consider is a simple locking detent on one of the spools...this allows the use of something like a log splitter or hydraulic winch etc., etc...without having to use a bungee cord to hold the lever...
Why don't you use your power beyond instead of rear remote for log splitter?
I just set up one of my log splitters to run off my tractor after it sat under 5 feet of water in the flood, pulled the 13HP motor, hydraulic pump and tank and made a couple lines at a savings of about $600.00 and a ton of labor cleaning and flushing.
Unless you don't have power beyond and are improvising, then makes total sense, I just thought about that as I was typing this.

When you say power beyond....are you simply talking about the two couplings that are for a backhoe....and get doubled back to themselves when backhoe is unhooked?

Usually dont see tractors with both remotes and that.

A remote with a detent....or a remote with a bungee cord holding it simply becomes a "power beyond"

Ya. Power beyond just is a circuit with flow all the time. That flow gets diverted when you open a valve. If you plug into that valve & hold it open with a bungee cord or what not, there is no difference.
