Ted has been working our new floating tailgate box blade for a while now and we have discussed it on some other TBN threads.
It is now complete and LIVE on our website!
Here are some of the highlights. A video will follow soon!!!
Travis
*Our new box blades are Category 1 and 2 QuickHitch compatible and are rated for up to 100hp tractors.

*The floating tailgate is fully wrapped around the shaft, which is achieved with a custom die. It isn't an easy or cheap design, but it is the best, most durable way of building it.
Also, the tailgate can be locked securely and used aggressively without the worry of bending or tweaking it.

*Large 19" x 34" extended side plates of 1/2" steel with an additional plate of 3/8" steel on the bottom leading edges for maximum wear resistance.

Now we'll get to the serious options.....
For the customer that intends on using their box blade commercially, in harsh conditions or just wants the best that money can buy, there are a couple of options
to be had that aren't available elsewhere.
OPTION #1
The normal cutting edges that we use are Valk high carbon steel cutting edges that are as good or better than most cutting edges on the market, but for this new box blade you can take it a step further by purchasing it with 8" Viper cutting edges, which are heat-treated to give up to four times the wear of carbon steel blades. These blades are through-hardened, not simply flame or case hardened, to achieve longer wear and far greater strength than flame or case hardened can provide.

OPTION#2
Our standard box blade ripper shanks are as good or better than what you'll find on most other HD boxblades on the market, but we know that this boxblade is capable of withstanding more abuse than the best "off the shelf" shank that we could find so we are taking it a step(or several steps) further.
The optional shanks were designed by Ted and are being made at our factory here in NC. The custom 1" x 4" ripper shanks are cut from T1 steel and feature AR 400 abrasion resistant tips for maximum durability and longevity, even in the toughest conditions.

Here are links to the two different versions. Either version can be ordered with the Viper cutting edges.
We do not have weights for each specific model yet, but the 72" is approx. 1,000 pounds and the 96" is 1,400 pounds.
