Kubota Possum 2018
Member
So I have a new Kubota BX 23S that I took delivery of two summers ago. It has exactly 100 hours on it and has never caused me any problems. I recently took off the mower deck and attached the loader and backhoe for winter storage in my garage, and have recently been noticing that I have a hydraulic fluid leak that is slowly dripping from below the tractor. I placed a piece of cardboard between the rear wheels and a small spot about the size of a 50 Cent piece has appeared over the past week. By looking at the spot in relation to the bottom of the tractor it seems like it is dripping from somewhere just behind where the drain plug for the hydraulic fluid is? Does anyone have any suggestions on where this may be coming from? Or should I just take it to the dealer? I have already tried putting a ratchet on the drain plug but it is so tight I cannot even budge it. The bucket on the backhoe has leaked down to where it is parallel with the floor. When this happens does the excess fluid get squeezed out from a valve that may be causing this leak?
