And she was a he, so not the drag strip you thought.
There's another one that burns me. I've said it before, the NHRA should have sued for ruining the name.
Same as how noW I have to spell the complete word every time and not use an abbreviation...TRANSMISSION.

"Mechanics Special" - Bring a car hauler and a heavy winch, she ain't starting or rollin. Also, several mechanics have thought it was special and all the parts may not be there.

"Belonged to my Father, Grandfather" yada yada. - It wasn't run by my punk @$$ (but it was).

"I have a friend who has a shop and has been maintaining it" - In reality the friend Dr. it with thick oil and all other mechanics tricks to get it sold. Then it turns into a bucket of bolts after first oil change. Had this happen to me.

“New batteries” = Needs new alternator or charging system.

“Fresh oil change” = oil hasn’t been changed in a long, long time.

“Currently not inspected” = It won’t pass inspection, so it needs a crap ton of work.

”No title, will include Bill of Sale” = Be very suspicious.

One careful owner from new. That was grandad who let his son use it whilst he did his farming and as it was on its last legs, the grandson used it contracting. But it still belonged to grandad.

Only 6k hours on the clock. The clock stopped 20 years ago and it's been to the moon and back since, but we've just had the clock fixed to sell it.

Only 3 years old and never had any troubles starting. It belonged to a contractor who had it going full speed 24 hours a day during harvest seasons with three drivers who never bothered to even stop it whilst refuelling

Regular service. Yep. Every fifth year whether it wanted it or not

Like when I bought my Ford 3000. Guy told me, it's all fully serviced, all new oils and filters. Ready to go to work.

Then once I got it home and checked everything, I made the call to Steiners and got all new filters, all the gaskets that are leaking and need to be replaced, etc.
