Ford 1000 vintage

I recently picked up a new-to-me Ford F1000 diesel tractor.
How can I determine what year it was made. The seller was
just a reseller and new very little about the tractor.

Running the serial number should get you in the ball park. There is a site that gives specs by models that often pops up in a Google search.

The 2000 is the lowest model I have ever seen. Any guess as to HP?

2 cyl engine.. 25 engine, 23 pto hp.

Shibaura diesel engine... try looking on the bellhousing, left side. used to be behind the starter.. etc.. here's some idea of year / sn's
